Presenting... Ann Douglass Sanders

"I have been creating art since around the age of three since I was able to hold a crayon. My favorite art is portraiture painting, and I have done portraits for years, but have only been painting in oil for about two years, on and off, and absolutely love it.

I am a huge admirer of the Old Masters, especially daVinci, Michaelangelo and Rembrandt with his wonderful use of chiaroscuro. I studied briefly at the Museum of Art in Boca Raton, Florida, and the Center for Creative Arts in Greensboro, North Carolina, with a wonderful teacher, Julie Schindler, who really encouraged me.

I hope, through hard work and good mentors, to really make the most of my talent throughout the future, as I am just beginning what I hope will be a long and very rewarding career."

Presenting... Peter Robinson

Peter Robinson is a London based Artist, specialising in Cat Portraits.

"After studying Graphic Design at Gravesend School of Art, Peter worked as a Packaging Designer in London's Soho.

For the past ten years, since retiring, Peter has produced his distinctive paintings, many of them of his own cats, Ozone and Jasmine, who sit with him as he works. He has kept cats since his first kitten at the age of five, and gets an enormous amount of pleasure from their company.

Peter works in Pastels and Designer Gouache, mostly from photographs, showing the cats against bold, colourful and intricate backgrounds."
